1 pound lean ground meat or ground turkey or chicken
¼ cup soy sauce
2 cloves minced garlic
¼ cup brown sugar tightly packed in the cup
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 teaspoons sesame oil
¼ teaspoon ground pepper
1 teaspoons grated fresh ginger or ½ teaspoon ground ginger
2 cups cooked brown/white rice, cauliflower rice or broccoli rice
GARNISH
green onions
sesame seeds
noodles
Instructions
Over medium heat cook the ground beef and garlic until the meat is light brown (turkey and chicken should be cooked until beige in color). Break up the lump in the ground beef as it is cooking.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, grated ginger (ground ginger), red pepper flakes (optional), soy sauce, and sesame oil. Add the mixture to the skillet with the ground beef allow it to cook until the seasoning is thoroughly combined. This should take about three minutes.
Server over rice, and garnish with your choice of green onions, sesame seeds or noodles.
Notes
Prepare your rice according to the package directions.
